In today’s tutorial, we will explain how to enable the installation of applications on the microSD card on a Xiaomi smartphone. Do you want to learn how to do it? Take a look at the tutorial below!
Change app download destination
You will need to change your phone’s settings to make it possible to save applications to a portable card. This involves changing the location where programs will be downloaded. This may sound complicated, but it’s actually very simple. To do this, follow the instructions below. However, keep in mind that by activating the programmer’s options and adjusting your phone’s settings, you may accidentally reduce the efficiency of the system or interfere with the proper functioning of applications. By making changes, you do so at your own risk.
Go to settings/phone and tap four times with your finger on the box that says MIUI Version. After this sequence of actions, a message should appear on your screen: You are a developer or OK, you are already a developer. Congratulations, the first step is behind you.
You will now find additional options for changes in Phone Settings. To find them, return to the main Settings screen, scroll to the bottom and select Additional Settings/Programmer Options. Enable Developer Options by clicking the check mark.
In the Apps section, find Force apps to save and enable it by moving the check mark. This action will now make almost any program writeable to portable storage media.
